We are on a path to create real and sustainable empowerment towards the health of the Indian citizens leading to a productive India. Empowering people with the with right information can not only improve their health condition but it will also change the way we live.
Therefore, in our current programs we have the taken the following steps:
School Initiatives:
Poddar Foundation has taken a huge step in the direction of Mental Health and has implemented ‘Silence Todo’ in the schools where through the foundation we have interactive sessions with school children on ‘What is Mental Health and How do we take care of ours?’
Children are taught the meaning of self-regulation and are made aware about the increasing risks of mental health illnesses and their part in keeping themselves mentally, emotionally and physically healthy.
In one of the private International school based in a class we ran a discussion on Mental Health and the World Happiness Index and India, highlighting the importance of us raising the Standard of the Indian standing. This was received with great mindfulness.
Additionally, the foundation talks to the Principals and the teachers to sensitize them to mental health issues and therapies running them through programmes to identify children at risk and to help them care for the children.
